TOMATO RED GLAZE
This is an extremely rare glaze I have developed over the last five years.
Phosphorus, Iron and Boron combine to produce iridescent crystals. These glazes are extremely fluid and present many challenges in firing. They are glaze fired to 1300 C and cooled slowly to encourage crystal growth. Crystals will only form within the glaze surfaces that are extremely fluid.
FISH SCALE CRACKLE GLAZE
This is a celadon type glaze that has a unique crazing pattern where the glaze crazes in plates. It is a high fired low iron bearing glaze. It is a difficult glaze to produce as it needs to be applied very thickly which can compromise the clay body underneath.
